SUNDAY: Deuteronomy 23:15-16 "You shall not hand over to his master a slave who has escaped from his master to you. "He shall live with you in your midst, in the place which he shall choose in one of your towns where it pleases him; you shall not mistreat him.
MONDAY: Proverbs 14:31 He who oppresses the poor taunts his Maker, but he who is gracious to the needy honors Him.
TUESDAY: Isaiah 10:1-2 Woe to those who enact evil statutes And to those who constantly record unjust decisions, So as to deprive the needy of justice And rob the poor of My people of their rights, So that widows may be their spoil And that they may plunder the orphans.
WEDNESDAY: Exodus 23:9 "You shall not oppress a stranger, since you yourselves know the feelings of a stranger, for you also were strangers in the land of Egypt.
THURSDAY: Isaiah 13:11 Thus, I will punish the world for its evil and the wicked for their iniquity; I will also put an end to the arrogance of the proud And abase the haughtiness of the ruthless.
FRIDAY: Jeremiah 22:3'Thus says the LORD, "Do justice and righteousness, and deliver the one who has been robbed from the power of his oppressor Also do not mistreat or do violence to the stranger, the orphan, or the widow; and do not shed innocent blood in this place.
SATURDAY: Zechariah 7:10 and do not oppress the widow or the orphan, the stranger or the poor; and do not devise evil in your hearts against one another.'
