Bible Verses for the Week

SUNDAY: 2 Timothy 4:3-4 A time will come when people will not listen to accurate teachings. Instead, they will follow their own desires and surround themselves with teachers who tell them what they want to hear. People will refuse to listen to the truth and turn to myths.

MONDAY: 1 Timothy 6:5 These people always cause trouble. Their minds are corrupt, and they have turned their backs on the truth. To them, a show of godliness is just a way to become wealthy.

TUESDAY:
Isaiah 8:20 Look to God’s instructions and teachings! People who contradict his word are completely in the dark.

WEDNESDAY: Malachi 3:18 Then you will again see the difference between the righteous and the wicked, between those who serve God and those who do not.”

THURSDAY: Matthew 7:15-17 “Beware of false prophets who come disguised as harmless sheep but are really vicious wolves. You can identify them by their fruit, that is, by the way they act. Can you pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? A good tree produces good fruit, and a bad tree produces bad fruit.

FRIDAY:
Galatians 5:22-26 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against such things. Now those who belong to the Messiah Jesus have crucified their flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, by the Spirit let us also be guided. Let’s stop being arrogant, provoking one another and envying one another.

SATURDAY:
Romans 16:17-18 And now I make one more appeal, my dear brothers and sisters. Watch out for people who cause divisions and upset people’s faith by teaching things contrary to what you have been taught. Stay away from them. Such people are not serving Christ our Lord; they are serving their own personal interests. By smooth talk and glowing words they deceive innocent people.

Bible Verses for the Week

SUNDAY: Luke 12:15 15Then he said to them, "Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; life does not consist in an abundance of possessions."

MONDAY: 1 Timothy 6:6-10 6But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. 8But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. 9Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. 10For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

TUESDAY: Hebrews 13:5 5Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."

WEDNESDAY: Proverbs 13:11 11Dishonest money dwindles away, but whoever gathers money little by little makes it grow.

THURSDAY:
Ecclesiastes 5:10 Whoever loves money will never have enough money. Whoever loves luxury will not be content with abundance. This also is pointless.

FRIDAY: Matthew 6:24 “No one can serve two masters, because either he will hate one and love the other, or be loyal to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and riches!”

SATURDAY: Proverbs 21:6 Those who gather wealth by lying are wasting time. They are looking for death.

SUNDAY: Proverbs 1:22 “How long, O simple ones, will you love being simple? How long will scoffers delight in their scoffing and fools hate knowledge?"

MONDAY: Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

TUESDAY: Isaiah 11:2 And the spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD.

WEDNESDAY: Colossians 2:8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.

THURSDAY:
1 Corinthians 3:19-20 For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He taketh the wise in their own craftiness.

FRIDAY: Proverbs 16:16 How much better to get wisdom than gold! To get understanding is to be chosen rather than silver.

SATURDAY: Proverbs 11:2 When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom.

WEDNESDAY: Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the Lord is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate.

THURSDAY: Romans 12:9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.

TUESDAY: John 3:19 “This is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil.”
